Hopping aboard the remote work trend train!
Dear Clients & Friends,
Kevin and I have absolutely loved serving you inside the doors of The Polished Edge both in downtown KC as well as Liberty for the past 24 years. It’s hard to believe that some of our current customers came in as children with their folks to make purchases, and now I see pictures on Facebook of their children and grandchildren!
It’s also unbelievable that our two daughters have grown up so quickly since we first became The Polished Edge. Our oldest has moved out to begin her own journey of college, work, and independence, and the younger one is a high school senior who’s setting her sights on a college in Chicago. The empty nest is almost upon us!
Given the circumstances of the Covid pandemic and knowing how quickly life changes, we have decided to move The Polished Edge in a different direction. As we’ve all learned during this pandemic crisis, life can throw us some curveballs, and low and behold, we have managed together to be survivors. Companies continued functioning; people worked out new routines; families found more quality time with loved ones; and work got done, albeit in a “new normal.” The Polished Edge is looking forward to a “new normal” as well.
Kevin has always dreamed about offering a type of concierge, personal jewelry experience full time while also devoting more time to creating his own custom design pieces for sale. He actually started doing this during the pandemic and communicated with his clients via text, FaceTime, and/or Zoom. He designed and created as well as repaired jewelry for
clients and either met at a place of their choosing or via USPS.
